Be aware that Amazon is not MB Quart auth dealer - Warranty? August 26, 2010

This is a great product, and the price is great too.
The tradeoff for the lower price is that because you are not purchasing from an Authorized MB Quart Dealer, you are not going to get any Factory Warranty.
If there is a problem within the first 30days, Amazon is good about returns, but after that, you are on your own.
I chose to risk it, as for me, I'm not going to pushing it to it's limit, and it is mostly solid-state.
I had it installed by a trusted local car stereo dealer, and so I know that it was done right.

I bought this amp to power 4 Infinity Kappa 682.9CF 6x8 speakers. On the stock radio these speakers sounded awesome, almost too much on the high end where I needed to turn the treble down. When I hooked up the MB Quart amp, they sounded horrible. Turning the treble all the way up they still had no high freq sound. I tried adjusting and re adjusting the crossover trying every combo (all crossover setting off is the correct for full range, but I tried all combinations just in case). Looking at the specs of the amp the freq response is only 10 hz to 1.2 Kh (1200 hz). Typically freq. response is 20,000 hz on the high end or higher. I returned the amp and replaced it with an Alpine and the speakers sound absolutely awesome. If you are looking for a full range amp, this is NOT the amp to buy. If all you need is a Sub woofer amp, this might be ok.

DELIVERY WAS SUPER FAST. THE AMP LOOKS JUST LIKE IN THE PICTURE, BRAND NEW NO SCRATCHES OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND. INSTALLATION WAS EASY, I HAD IT WORKING IN 45 MINS. SOUNDS GREAT IN MY CHRYSLER 300C POWERING THE BOSTON SPEAKERS. PERFECT COMBINATION WITH MY TWO 12 INCH KOVE AUDIO SUBS.

Lots of control and options. Good power and it sounds good. For the price you can't beat this amp. Very clean sounding.

This amp is powering a set of the DSH216 components up front and the rear channels bridged to power a polk audio sub. It does really well with the fronts and have them screaming, but its kinda lacking on the sub. I had to turn the gain all the way up to move the 180 watt sub, and this is supposed to put out 200W bridged. I previously had an old 150 watt 2 channel MTX on the same sub and box and it drilled. It's a really good amp for running fronts or rears, but I would recommend a different amp for subwoofers. I can not comment on whether it gets hot because I have a stealth install and the amp is in the rear panel to save room. It hasn't cut off on me yet in the few weeks I've owned it and its summertime here in Virginia so it gets hot. Overall a good amp tho, especially since its under $100.
