Audio Performance
MAW8004s feature UV treated poly woofer cones, for rigidity and performance. The woofer's low-mass Kapton voice coil former ensures high power handling and great reliability, with the ability to endure serious heat. Side venting around the voice coil helps out a bit more, and the progressive flat spider improves suspension, for lower distortion and higher output.
Waterproof Design
The MAW8004 is salt fog and UV tested, featuring a waterproof woofer design, complete with nickel-plated speaker terminals and stainless steel hardware to stand up to the rough marine environment. The rubber surrounds won't give in to the marine air, either, for years of Bazooka sound.
Optional Liquid Cooling
Want to take it one step further? The innovative design of the MAW component Woofers allows you to liquid cool the voice coil motor assembly for maximum power handling capability. With the addition of the CHIL PLUG and the CHIL KIT, you can easily add liquid cooling to your MAW Series Component Woofer. Utilizing the optional CHIL PLUG can increase the MAW woofers power handling by up to 50%.
